What Data We Collect
When you use our services, we do not require registration, hence the data that we collect is not personally identifiable. We collect the following types of data:
Gender: for understanding the varying health risks across different genders. There is an option not to answer this question.
Age: for assessing health risks and tailoring recommendations. There is an option not to answer this question.
Height: for calculating the user’s Body Mass Index (BMI) and assessing overall health.
Weight: in conjunction with height for BMI calculations and understanding health risks related to weight.
Present/recent blood pressure readings and heart rate: to identify the user’s health risks and tailor the exercise programs to their needs. There is an option not to answer this question.
How often does the user consume alcohol/tobacco, if any: Knowing about these lifestyle factors helps in creating a more personalized and safe exercise plan. There is an option not to answer this question.
Information on the user’s physical activity level, according to the International Physical Activity Questionnaire, for understanding the user’s fitness level and aids in the design of a suitable exercise program.
Email address: We ask for the email address only to provide you with an option to send the generated assessment and plans to you by email. We do not store your email address.
How We Collect Data
We collect data through an online questionnaire, and through user’s answers to these questions. We ask for an email address only when the user wants to have the generated content sent by email.
Why We Collect Data
We collect this data to:
To generate the assessment of your physical activity habits with regards to blood pressure
To provide you with a personalized exercise plan for outdoors, gym, and flexibility, tailored to your specific health needs and to send these exercise plans to you via email.
In the desktop version, every question we pose has a popup explanatory text that you can see by placing the cursor over the i-button next to the text. It explains why we ask this question. We strive to introduce it in the mobile version.
Data Storage and Security
Heartery Inc does not store your data anywhere. Your answers are only stored in the cache of your browser, by default for one session. The same goes for your emails, we do not store them anywhere. We do not have a database. Also, we do not store any generated assessments of user’s eating habits or meal plans. Neither we store any information from the chat with the Ask Me Anything function.
We opted for this solution, as we are committed to ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of your data.
Data Sharing and Third Parties
We send this data in an anonymised format and in a secure way to OpenAI’s Chat GPT via API, strictly following the User Agreement with OpenAI. We delete all your data once the session, that is you leave this site, is over. Other than that, we do not share your data with any third parties unless required by law or with your explicit consent. We do not sell, rent, or trade your data for commercial purposes. Because we do not store and hence, do not have it.
We do not retain your data longer than during the user’s session. Any information that we provide, as well as any generated information is kept only in your browser. We delete your data when the session is over.
